SEO Brief Builder
Input a keyword or a URL to beat. Output a brief a writer can work from without a Slack huddle: search intent, SERP notes, H2 outline, word-count target, entities to mention, title + meta under limits, and a ‘do not write’ list (fluff, fake stats, synonym stuffing). Desk-of-an-editor, not a keyword cloud.

Spec
Build an SEO Brief Builder for editors, not for people who still buy exact-match domains. PRODUCT Keyword or rival URL in. A writer-ready brief out. The brief’s job is to prevent two failures: (1) a fluff essay that ranks for nothing, (2) a stuffed page a human bounces from. OUTPUT SECTIONS (fixed order) - Primary query + 3 secondary - Intent: one of informational / commercial investigation / transactional / navigational, plus a 15-word “they want…” - SERP notes: 5 bullets on what currently ranks (type of page, angle). Honest if unknown: “SERP not fetched — write as if competing with a vendor blog and a docs page”. - Title (≤60 chars, live count) and meta (≤155 chars, live count) - Outline: H2s (5–8) with a one-line point under each. One H2 must be objections/FAQ. - Entities to mention (people, products, standards) — list, not stuffed into a paragraph - Word-count target as a range (e.g. 1,200–1,600) - Do not write: fluff phrases, fake statistics, “studies show” without a named study, synonym stuffing, talking about rank - Sources the writer should look up (types, not invented URLs) SCREENS 1. Intake 2. Brief (print-friendly) 3. Snippet preview — how title/meta might look in a result (one mock result, not a SERP toy) DATA Last 10 briefs, localStorage. VISUAL Editor desk. Wide measure for the outline, narrow for title/meta so limits feel real. Character counts always visible. No green “score: 91” gadget — if you want a check, it’s binary: title under 60 or not. OUT OF SCOPE Rank tracking, backlink tools, auto-writing the article, Search Console OAuth. ACCEPTANCE - Title count turns accent when over 60; compile still allowed (editors overrule). - Do-not-write always includes “fake statistics” and “unnamed studies”. - Mobile: sections accordion, title field sticky.
