Build Lesson Plan Forge — a plan a teacher can run tomorrow, not a unit of busywork. PRODUCT Inputs: topic, age/grade, minutes (20 / 45 / 90), constraints chips (no video, mixed ability, no worksheet, no phones, ELL-friendly). Output a timed lesson + analog variant + misconception list. LESSON STRUCTURE (always) - Objective: one sentence, observable - Hook (time-boxed) - Teach (time-boxed) - Guided practice - Independent (or paired) - Exit ticket (3 items max, actually answerable in 4 minutes) - Materials: short list, ordinary classroom stuff unless the user named a lab - Misconceptions: 3, each with the tell and the redirect - Analog variant: the same lesson with no screens - Differentiation: one stretch, one support, not a novel TIMING Every block has minutes, and they must sum to the selected total ±1. Show a live sum. If the model overruns, the UI refuses to present it until tightened. SCREENS 1. Brief 2. Plan (print-friendly) 3. Board — a timeline of blocks the teacher can glance at while walking EMPTY Sample: “why the moon has phases”, grade 6, 45 min, no video. VISUAL Teacher desk. Paper-first. Wide print stylesheet. Mono for times, sans for talk-tracks. No cartoon mascots, no gold stars, no purple. OUT OF SCOPE Standards-database sync, LMS export, generating a 20-page worksheet pack, student accounts. ACCEPTANCE - 45-minute sample sums to 45. - Analog variant does not mention a projector. - Exit ticket has ≤3 items. - Print is readable in black and white.
